Problem waste

What is Problematic Waste?

Problematic waste are waste's that have the potential to cause environmental damage. These waste's are either dangerous themselves or contain potentially dangerous chemicals that maybe released as they breakdown. As a result of this, they are difficult to dispose of and if not disposed of correctly they can cause serious wide-ranging environmental impact.

The following items SHOULD NOT be disposed of in either your green, red or yellow-lidded bin, skip bin or verge collection.

Many of these items contain toxic materials but, if disposed of correctly, can be either safely neutralised or recycled.

Residents can dispose of the following Household Hazardous Waste items for free located in the Drop Off area at Tamala Park:

Look out for special Disposal Days held in different council area's throughout the year. Check your Council's website for further detail.
