The MRC formed when the Cities of Perth, Stirling and Wanneroo purchased land in Perth’s northern corridor that included a parcel of land deemed suitable for a landfill.

The MRC was constituted.

Tamala Park landfill opened.

Process for establishing the Resource Recovery Facility (RRF).

Construction of Resource Recovery Facility (RRF) begins.
2009
Resource Recovery Facility (RRF) opened in Neerabup.
