Early Tender Advice - North Perth FOGO Facility
Mindarie Regional Council is pleased to announce the upcoming tender opportunity for its North Perth FOGO Facility Project. As part of their commitment to a fair and transparent procurement process, Mindarie Regional Council is providing this early tender advice to ensure interested parties are aware of the forthcoming opportunity.
The MRC, a significant waste management authority in Western Australia responsible for managing waste for approximately one third of the city's population on behalf of its Member Councils, has identified a critical requirement for improved Food Organics & Green Organics (FOGO) processing in Perth's Northern region. To proactively tackle this issue and meet the State government's WARR strategy 2025 deadline, the MRC has recognised its Resource Recovery Facility (RRF) located in Neerabup's industrial hub as the optimal solution.
The North Perth FOGO Facility initiative is currently the sole facility in the northern region of Perth with the potential to provide FOGO services. Working with MRC on this opportunity, will provide the successful tenderer access to the MRC's vast network of member councils, guaranteeing a significant volume of waste to manage.
This project is an extraordinary chance to make a lasting impact on waste management in Perth's Northern region.
