The Resource Recovery Facility (RRF) in Neerabup is about to commence its planned shutdown to facilitate the composter replacement project and allow the facility to carry out extensive lifecycle maintenance.
The actual shutdown will commence Tuesday 18th August 2015 and it is expected that works will take place over a 14 week period. To accommodate the emptying/clearing of the RRF's waste pit and composting vessels, waste receiving will cease on Thursday 13th August 2015. Whilst the RRF is closed the waste will be diverted to the Tamala Park landfill site.
