Plant Operator

The Mindarie Regional Council (MRC) is one of Western Australia’s largest waste management authorities assisting its member councils, mainly situated in Perth’s northern corridor, in managing their municipal solid waste.

 

The position is full time, base salary $65k to $71k working Monday to Friday plus weekend overtime as rostered.

To be successful you will have 3 years demonstrated experience with operating earth moving equipment in Civil and or Mining Industries. An understanding of appropriate work practices including OSH requirements, safe workplace procedures and knowledge of landfill practices would be an advantage. In addition, you will need good literacy skills and the ability to work in a small team environment liaising with staff members and external stakeholders. 


The successful applicant will be required to undertake medical examinations prior to employment and would undergo a three-month probationary period.

EDUCATION COORDINATOR 
 
The Mindarie Regional Council (MRC) is one of Western Australia’s largest waste management authorities assisting its member councils, mainly situated in Perth’s northern corridor, in managing their municipal solid waste. 
 
This position is to assist the MRC Marketing and Education business units in the development, implementation and coordination of waste management community awareness and education projects in line with direction set through a regional strategic plan.
 
The position offered is full time on a 12-month contract, salary ranging between $79k to $88k dependent on experience. Hours of work are 38 hours per week, occasional weekend work for events. In addition to this, an attractive superannuation package and a flexible working environment are provided. 
 
The successful candidate will have:
Sound understanding of education/communication/marketing processes and tools.
High level written and oral communications skills.
Ability to work with a wide range of people.
Well-developed interpersonal and communication skills.
Ability to prioritise workloads within tight timelines.
 
Specific Skills and Experience:
Tertiary qualifications in an appropriate field (e.g. education, marketing, community development) or equivalent.
Drivers licence.
Hold a current Working with Children’s Check.
 
Applicants may be required to undergo a medical assessment to determine their fitness to carry out the duties of this position.
